Community and History

The community is home to rich blend of Metis and First nation culture. It is the host of the "Under the Porcupine Music Festival each July as well as many events throughout the year. Crafters in the area are known for their creativity and unique products that showcase the proud Metis and First Nation cultures of the region.

 


Barrows was first called Barrows Junction and was were the train station was located for the region.
