Located at the foothills of the Porcupine Hills and south of Red Deer Lake, the community Barrows is surrounded with opportunity to explore nature at its finest. The Porcupine Provincial forest is an incredible place to explore and visit. It is filled with beautiful forest, waterways and Wildlife that provide tourist with hundreds of square kilometers of adventure.
The area and community is home to great fishing and hunting opportunities. Hunters come from across the globe to seek monster Whitetail Deer, Black Bear and Waterfowl. Many local Outfitters are available to take you on the adventure of a lifetime.
Eco Tourism is another great way to explore the Barrows area, bird watching, kayaking, canoeing and hiking can lead you on the adventure of a lifetime.
Red Deer Lake is only 8 kilometers by road to the north of Barrows, it is excellent for fishing Walleye, and Northern Pike. Its waters are home to hundreds of species native to north western Manitoba.
